Knowledge Base Modernization: Updating Support Knowledge for Real-World Use

150+ updated knowledge-base articles · 100+ step-by-step 4K video tutorials · Real-time documentation

The Issue

The existing knowledge base contained older articles with information that was no longer fully aligned with the current POS environment, workflows, and product behavior.

Support agents couldn’t always rely on the existing documentation when handling customer issues, while new team members needed clearer resources during onboarding.

Troubleshooting

I reviewed and updated the existing knowledge base with current, step-by-step procedures covering troubleshooting, POS workflows, configurations, support processes, and common issue resolutions.

I also created 100+ step-by-step 4K video tutorials to demonstrate troubleshooting procedures, POS workflows, configurations, and product guidance visually.

The knowledge base was also updated in real time as new issues, solutions, workflows, or product changes came up, keeping the documentation aligned with the environment the support team was actually working in.

The focus was simple: make the information clear enough for an existing agent to use during a live customer issue, while making it easy for new team members to learn the same processes during onboarding.

Resolution

I turned outdated documentation into a current, structured, and continuously maintained support resource, combining written procedures with practical video walkthroughs.

Agents had a consistent reference for tackling issues timely and correctly, while new team members had reusable material they could follow during onboarding and day-to-day support.

Impact

The work resulted in 150+ updated and structured articles and 100+ 4K video tutorials.

It helped existing agents handle issues more efficiently, supported faster onboarding for new team members, and reduced support inbound by giving agents and customers clearer resources to resolve common issues without additional support interaction.
